Vocabulary is not my forte, but I love games, so I wasn't sure if I would like this game or not. I ended up really enjoying it - it has different levels, so it was good for the vocabulary-challenged, like myself. Helps me to learn new words, too.

I also have fun playing with my son, who has his own DS - we can play two players with two different DS's.

i wish there were lists of clues...3
I love doing crosswords so of course for my new DS Lite I got The New York Times Crosswords, the end all be all in the puzzle world. I can normally do a monday puzzle in fifteen minutes but it took nearly an hour with this game. And it didn't seem any harder except that there is no list of clues to scan as in the printed format of puzzles. You get one clue at a time in the upper screen. I also found it very frustrating when a puzzle clue referred to other answers in the puzzle it being nearly impossible to view the entire puzzle with the numbers showing. I would seriously consider how you do puzzles before you buy this game. Do you scan the clues until one jumps out or do you methodically go through in numerical order? I think this game could have used a little bit more input by people who do daily crosswords then they might have had a list of clues. Also I would have preferred a vertical orientation of the ds lite it seem it would be easier to hold and write. Get a subscription to the times or any other daily paper that carries their puzzles or do The Onion's online. This just isn't the easiest way to enjoy a good puzzle. Do not buy this game if you think fifteen minutes to do a monday is a long time...you know who you are. I still love you Will Shortz.

Great for quick bursts of crosswording5
I actually got a good deal from Amazon when I bought this game last year. They had a buy 1 get 1 and it came out to $7.48 each. I would've definitely bought this for its full price. It's been in my DS for months now. There are TONS of puzzles and what's nice is it has varying levels of difficulty. You also get to save your game and pick up where you left off, so there's no need to finish a puzzle right then and there.

The stylus control is decent, but sometimes the DS will mistake my "R" for an "M" or my "i" for an "L" so you will have to watch the letters at times as you write them. There is an option to turn off the music, which can get annoying. Asking for a hint will cost you a "grade" or two (you have the option to turn off the timer and grading), but you will eventually get a hang of the clues. Best of all, there is no newspaper to recycle and erasing is easy. There's no significant lag in the game, but if the DS doesn't understand your written letter, it will not write anything. The game tells you to alternate between writing in capitals and lowercase so that it "learns and recognizes" your handwriting. There are 4 name slots so if you share a DS, then everyone can have their own "account."

I have yet to test out the multi-player. I like how you can either do a "quick puzzle" or "challenge" (where you can select the day and difficulty of the puzzle). Mondays are easiest so start there. There is also an option for left-handed and right-handed.

Asus EEPC 900 Great Laptop5
I love this laptop, it is great for travel, Internet, and with Win XP allows me to transfer programs from my home PC to the laptop with the use of a memory card with ease.
When traveling, I listen to my local radio station's no matter what part of the world I am in with the WiFi or LAN connection at my hotel.

Cramped keyboard but awesome portability4
I really love how portable this thing is. Even when I throw it into my laptop bag where I'm carrying my work laptop, I hardly notice the added weight or bulk from the Eee PC. And the WiFi has worked like a charm -- I'm able to connect from the public library and at free hotspots such as Panera Bread without any problems.

On the downside, that keyboard is a bit cramped. You can adjust and get reasonable touch-typing speed but nothing approaching what you can do with a regular keyboard. Still, for jotting down notes and replying to emails it's been fine.

I'm also not a fan of the mouse buttons beneath the touchpad. They are pretty stiff -- you have to strike them with a fair amount of force before they'll register the click. I've taken to carrying a tiny mouse, which just plugs into one of the USB ports. Even though it does drain the battery a bit faster using that mouse, it's a lot less frustrating to click than the touchpad buttons on the Eee PC.

Best choice I found for cost and weight4
I was looking for a laptop that would run GPS atlas software for a long car trip (but would also do most other things as well, email, web, digital pictures), also it had to be familiar to my wife who is not a computer enthusiast. The Eee PC fits this bill very nicely. At around 2 pounds it's weight is barely noticeable. The battery life is good and it slips into and out of sleep mode quickly to save on power when not being used (though it can be a pain if you are just staring at the screen and not touching it for five minutes...not common at least). I also liked that it came with Windows XP and not Vista. No DVD drive means you need to buy an external but that's okay for my uses. The only thing that's been hard to adjust to is the smaller keyboard size. At first I was missing a lot of key strokes but that is improving with continued use.

Works better than any other charger5
I was looking for a battery charger that would help my rechargeable batteries last longer and be charged with their maximum power. I found exactly what I was seeking in the BC700 Alpha.
The BC700 Alpha Power Battery Charger is as easy to use as conventional chargers that just "recharge" a battery. Yet the recycling option on the BC700 does a much better job of extending a rechargeable battery's life as well as making sure the battery's charge is at its maximum possible size.
I use a Nikon D2H for both sports action as well as special events and weddings/receptions so I don't have any video to share but the still flash pictures I took last Saturday at a friend's wedding reception using batteries recharged on the BC700 Alpha were superb in quality. The batteries kept a full charge throughout the evenings events for the full time of 2 1/2 hours of steady picture taking. I never had one pause between pictures when I had to wait for my Nikon SB800 Speedlight flash to signal "ready" before I took the next flash picture.
I will highly recommend the BC700 Alpha to even casual users.

Excellent Charger; Nicely compact5
I was looking for a good charger with individual battery controls when charging multiple batteries. I needed it to be compact and lightweight for travel.

I read several different reviews of several chargers (this one and others) and concluded that this one looked promising. So I purchased it and hoped for the best.

I was not disappointed. I have now charged almost 40 NiMH hybrid batteries and it does great. I can tell that it keeps the temnperatures down significantly below that of the cheaper chargers that typically come with the batteries and that have more simplistic time-duration controls.

The displays for each battery are also surprisingly informative and I have grown to really appreciate and depend upon that level of insight and control over each battery.

The controls are simple. However, it took me a few cycles to get the button-pressing-sequence down. But it is now pretty much a wrote sequence and, once learned, makes the use totally trivial.

My only real complaint is that the power supply "brick" that it requires ("brick" is probably unfair, it's not that big) does not have any provision for stowing the plug prongs. THat is one of my pet pieves when manufacturers insist on using that type of "brick". It makes it most unrully and irratating to pack for travel (which I do a lot). Stowable power prongs should be the norm, not these unstowable typwes.

That said, this is in all other aspects a wonderful product and I would most heartily recommend it to anyone wanting a relatively small, compact, lightweight but flexible charger with lots of ability to control the charging of recharable batteries.

this camera is really nice! Takes beautiful pictures. Easy to use, lots of options on menu that are easy to use as well. It is my first digital without a view finder.....a learning experience for me. I think the only improvement panasonic could make is to add screen protectors to the packaging.

Versatile, sophisticated, compact; but a few points to improve4
Zoom x10 with image stabilizer - great! (even x13.5 with 5M resolution)
Resolution 9M - sounds good, but quite meaningless with the noise level.
"Intelligent auto" mode actually works very good, saves much time.
Sound is noisy, maybe due to the upward location of the microphone.
Compactness makes a big difference, you just carry it with you any time.
Video size is huge due to the awkward MJPEG format, I convert to MPEG4.
Lack of reclining screen is quite inconvenient in difficult positions.
Overall, a great camera for any condition, just don't use high ISO values.

This camera shipped to me 24 hrs after buying it her on Amazon in perfect condition. I opened the box and immediately put the battery in the charger. After a day of fully reading the manual and having the camera right next to me to see what the manual was describing - I was ready to go. I've been out now shooting pictures with this camera for 3 straight weeks with my tripod and have had excellent results. I'm a tad bummed however that you cannot set the aperture when taking 15sec, 30sec or even 60sec exposures :( this means that you can only really take open exposures of night time scenarios. Also, the colors this camera captures are great for $300 - but nothing compared to an SLR so don't fool yourself. Lightweight, convenient, beautiful, and quick/responsive AND a FANTASTIC ZOOM is all I can really say for this 4 star camera. E N J O Y !

NOT for lazy owners, could worsen pet health2
Sounds great doesn't it? Fresher water, and more of it, with fewer trips to the sink?

I owned one of the older models, and recently stopped using it. The product is fine...if you are committed to frequent cleaning. Otherwise, you will get gross things growing in your pet's water.

It was far too tempting to just "top off" the water instead of completely replacing the supply and scrubbing each piece seperately (including the 2-piece motor). I would say this should be done at LEAST weekly. If you're up for that (THINK about it before you say yes), then this is a good purchase for you. Not dishwasher safe - buy a set of good bottle brushes, various sizes.

It's daunting to carry a sloshing bowl/tank to the sink, take it apart, scrub it out...when you could just add some more fresh water instead. When I would finally clean it, there would sometimes be black or pink stuff in the hidden parts - ew! That's not healthy, and it's not what the filter's designed for.

For my cat's health, I am going back to a bowl, which I can dump out daily and put in the dishwasher. Much more sanitary.

The Drinkwell (or any fountain) is only as good as its user, so think twice about your habits, before assuming that fountains promote health!

I have now had three different fountain water bowls for my *very spoiled* cat. The first, which I believe was the original Drinkwell was fine, but when my cat decided the water needed to be cleaned she would knock over the reservoir and drench the bathroom. It bothered me that she was able to do that. She also didn't seem to appreciate the value of the lid, so she constantly flipped it off. I eventually had to just take it off for good. Next we tried another (Petmate) fountain water bowl which we kept for a few weeks and she never used it. I think she wasn't amused by the water sliding down the water ramp rather than free-flowing out of the "spigot". Therefore, I had seen this one in a magazine and decided that it looked like the reservoir looked as though it would be "untippable", the water appeared to flow freely, and generally it just looked sturdier. I received it yesterday and my cat was a fan instantly. As was I!! I love the sturdiness of the base and the reservoir, I like the residue blocker that prevents the stuff from getting to the pump - it's removable so I can clean it too!! It holds a ton of water which is good because, like some other peoples' cats, my cat is drinking more now too! It's quiet - though that wasn't a big issue for me - and one of my favorite features is that the top now snaps on. I suspect with the top snapped on she'll be unable to remove it and the water will stay cleaner! So far so good!!

It's a really good purchase. The water is filtrated and anyone who has a cat that enjoys drinking from a running tap will be attracted to this product. It also gives me peace of mind when I travel for a few days and have to leave my pet at home.
