Finding-auto-parts-for-car-repairing
By James Hunt
Repairing your car yourself can save you time and money but it can also be difficult for you to find auto parts to complete those repairs. There are many places both on and off the internet where you can find the car parts that you need to finish the job. If you know ahead of time that you have a certain repair that you need to perform on your car you may want to get those auto parts before you start the repair. This way you won’t be disappointed when you go buy those car parts at the store and find that they don’t have the part that you need in stock. By planning ahead of time you can obtain your parts and have them ready when you start working. The internet is a great way to get the parts that you need at a very cheap price. This is because many online stores are able to get car parts in a bulk package at a discount price, passing the savings on to you. If you run into the situation where the local store where you live needs to order your auto parts you can try buying the same item online. Most online stores never run out of inventory and can usually have the part to you in one day.
Make sure that when you order your car parts that you’re buying the right parts for the make and model of the car that you’re repairing. You don’t want to
Google's Latest - The Reaper for Second Life?
Second Life has always been an interesting concept and one that some corporations have used for marketing, but has Google come up with something better? Something that could be the death sentence for Second Life?
Whew!! Home Depot Reclaims and Recycles CFLs
There is growing concern that the trace amounts of mercury contained in CFL bulbs can pose a health hazard if these bulbs are simply tossed in trash dumpsters. The following post appeared on Grist (http://www.grist.org/), an environmental news Web site: Home Depot will collect CFLs for recycling Home Depot announced last week that it will collect compact fluorescent light bulbs and send them off to be recycled. The home-improvement behemoth hopes the new program will keep the bulbs, which contain a small amount of mercury, out of household trash and recycling bins. IKEA also collects CFLs for recycling but doesn't have the market saturation of Home Depot; more than three-quarters of U.S. households are estimated to be within 10 miles of a Home Depot store. The company's 1,973 U.S. stores will also switch to CFLs in light-fixture showrooms by the fall, a move expected to save it $16 million annually in energy costs.

Not Crazy About CFLs
OK, this may sound blasphemous, but I don’t like CFL light bulbs. Am I alone on this? The reason is simple: These bulbs contain mercury, and mercury causes birth defects—really bad birth defects. GE, the primary manufacturer of these bulbs, contends that the amount is trace and safe; however, in a recent report on NPR Radio, GE admitted the mercury could be a real problem if sales balloon (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=7543075). If you break a CFL bulb in your home, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency urges you to do the following:
Habitat for Humanity’s Home Improvement Store
Habitat for Humanity has entered a new market: building supplies. The group has a Home Improvement Store in Gardena, whereby builders can donate their castoff building supplies and avoid sending these materials to the landfill and do-it-yourselfers can purchase low-cost supplies. Donations to the store are tax-deductible. Reduce and Reuse. Gotta love it. For more information, contact (310) 323-4663 x 127 or www.shophabitat.com.
The Passing Of A Legend - Stan Winston
Those that know me, know that movies are one of my passions and deep loves. So while this post has nothing at all to do with real estate, because of the admiration of and love that I have for the work of Stan Winston I had to say a few words on his passing.
Greening C.A.R.
This is great! I just discovered this Blog as I accidentally stumbled upon it while in the C.A.R .legal section. This is actually my second blog entry ever so I'm not sure how this all works, but I was very disappointed to see that there have been zero comments! I just recently earned my EcoBroker designation and am a big supporter of the green movement in real estate. The biggest struggle I'm having is finding green properties to sell! Any hints on a green MLS or green inventory? thx! Alessandro_Fraschetti_03459
The BUZZ Club
While this blog's intention is to educate and inform real estate professionals on technology...I thought this program was plug worthy...especially since it could translate into some extra cash. No...this is not some pyramid scheme, or web rip-off... :D
The New iPhone...
Yesterday after a very long and boring keynote Steve Jobs announced the new iPhone 3G.
make a mistake and end up with the wrong part since this can put you behind even more in the repair of your vehicle. Once again, planning ahead speaks for itself. You want to be as organized as possible when it comes to any repairs that you’re doing yourself on your car. This will lead to less frustration later and make for a positive experience.
